This packet contains 12 sheets of pre-cooked tofu, "pockets" ready to be stuffed and made into inari sushi – a kind of sushi rice ball. The tofus were dressed in soy sauce and mirin, giving them a slightly sweet delicate flavour before they were deep-fried. Simply rinse, and stuff with generous amounts of cooked sushi rice and your choice of fillings such as sesame seeds, tuna or salmon mix with "sriracha and mayonnaise" dressing, cucumber, boiled carrot slices.
Also known as Yamato edomae inari, fried tofu wraps, edomae ifuri dentou no aji, bean curd, inarizushi, inari-zushi.

The tofu inari "pockets" add such a delightful taste to stuffed sushi. Our guests were so impressed as they usually had plain sushi rice-stuffed inari only. We whipped up a mix of slightly spicy mix of Sriracha and Mayonnaise before adding these to salmon sashimi or tuna as stuffing. For vegetarian options, sliced carrots or boiled edamame beans with the Sriracha and Mayo sauce, also did a wonder.
