No Japanese dish is quite complete without a crunch of tempura battered deep fried seafood, prawns or vegetables.Tempura batter mix is prepared using cold water which gives it a light texture.
Wheat Flour, Corn Starch, Baking Powder, Salt, Flavour Enhancer (E621), White Pepper Powder.
Add 125g Obento Tempura Batter Mix to 180ml of cold water and whisk through. Coat your choice of ingredient in the batter and deep fry in hot oil (150C-180C) until golden brown.
Tip: When preparing the batter, do not over mix as it will become tough and chewy when deep fried. Small lumps are common in the mixture and give crunchy texture when fried.
